2025 Chapter Officers

Attention Chapter Secretaries AND Chapter Administrators!

Attached is the chapter officer request form. If your chapter changes officers in the spring or summer of 2025, please save this so you can send the update at the time your officers are chosen.

If you do not have an officer listed on the form, skip it.

Another reminder: If you have not sent in your chapter minutes, please do so before the end of the year. The Rules Governing Chapters section 15 states that chapters should send in all minutes once approved.

Please return the list of officers along with any minutes to chapterservices@apwa.org.

APWA Accreditation Announcements

Accreditation is the mark of professionalism, indicating a public works agency has made the commitment to continuous improvement in the delivery of public works operations and services in the community it serves. Accreditation recognizes an agency’s policies, procedures, and practices that have been evaluated against nationally recognized management practices determined to be appropriate for that specific agency.

The American Public Works Association is thrilled to announce the accreditation of the following public works agencies for September 2024:

  • Fairfield, Ohio Public Utilities Department—4th accreditation
  • Fairfield, Ohio Public Works Department—6th accreditation
  • Salem, Oregon Public Works Department—2nd accreditation

Please help us recognize their hard work and dedication to providing excellent public services. Potential ways to recognize them may be a mention in your newsletter or your website, asking them to present at your chapter conference, posting on social media, or other ideas specific to your chapter.

Accreditation Open Forum “How to Achieve Buy-In Across Your Agency to Become Accredited” – This is a free virtual panel discussion to help agencies learn from their peers. Register here.

For further information on the APWA accreditation program, please feel free to contact Jeanette Klamm, Senior Manager of Accreditation, at accreditation@apwa.org.
